Sammanfattning (abstract):
Projects are often used to organize new and better methods for daily work-routines. Project activities take place parallel with the ongoing regular operations
with some degree of disintegration between project and regular operations.
Disintegration/integration produces three subsequent problems:
• Creating the distinction between project and regular operations,
• Maintaining the distinction as long as the project goes on and, finally,
• Implementing the results from the project into the regular flow of operations.
Implementation will depend on how the distinction between project and regular
operations was defined from the beginning. The conception of project as a special
form of organizing will have effects not only on how the projects are run, but also
when project results were to be utilized in the regular operation. An empirical
study of development projects in the social sector in Sweden has been conducted.
