Sammanfattning (abstract):
As the number of devices and platforms used in clinical information systems grows it becomes relevant to study the use of model-based interfaces. An application using a model-based approach takes an abstract description of an application and makes use of an environment capable of understanding the model to create a concrete instance. By starting from an existing clinical information system, a simplified model-based approach has been used to develop several new ways of interacting with the system. The approach used is described together with a description of the initial concrete environments for data entry. The general concept has been useful during development and more experiments will be carried out to investigate how the concept of model-based interfaces can improve interaction with clinical information systems.
