Sammanfattning (abstract):
In this previous work, Dahlstedt has investigated strategies to explore high-dimensional parameter spaces through bodily interaction, and how to perform and improvise on highly unstable feedback systems (e.g., in duo pantoMorf, Pencil Fields, Foldings, Circle Suite). Here, he tries a new approach, using two parallel feedback systems for audio and gestural data respectively, controlled simultaneously from a physical controller, guided by ear. Thus, he has to work with performance patterns such as probe and react, find and rest, explore and contemplate (what you have before you lose it). Or possibly even: go to the limit and jump ship. The title alludes to Dahlstedt's close work with people in global crisis management and decision making, through the Tällberg Foundation.
